The Great Unknowns
Posted by admin in Uncategorized on March 23, 2010
I look forward to any chance I get to meet new people and talk about my music with them. I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed and featured on a website called “The Great Unknowns Presents” with Michael J from Los Angeles. He showcases musicians in the independent and unsigned industry that he feels are worth getting to know. He actually found me through Twitter, we got talking, and he asked me to be one of his featured artists. It was so much fun and I’m so grateful for the opportunity!
You can find the interview HERE and on the right you can find the Podcast part of it.

Thank You!

Many, many thanks to all of you who came to the show at the Velour on Wednesday night! It is such a cool venue and I feel lucky to have such fun fans!
Oh, and thanks for smiling through the equipment and acoustic funks we had too – You are all awesome.
In my preparation for the show, I couldn’t help but think about the Olympic games that recently concluded. Performance psychology is generally the same no matter what the realm, so I actually learn a TON by watching the Olympics! The most helpful lesson I learned is that no matter where they were from or what their ranking, I got tense when the athletes seemed racked with fear, and I felt awful when they fell or failed. It hit me that in some out-of-body way, people experience emotions vicariously through others sometimes and when I watched athletes soar through their routines with confidence, peace, focus and excitement, I felt a sense of accomplishment right along with them!
So why couldn’t it be the same for a singer on stage? Perhaps people aren’t scrutinizing us as much as we may assume
While I’m not an olympian, I feel like one when people who support me are just as happy as I am when I land on my feet and finish with a smile ![]()
Thanks, guys! I hope I see you at my next show!
With love,
L.A.

P.S. Here are some photos that were taken that night:
